“Figures of Speech: from Poetic to Political”

I’m very pleased to be invited to show with this group of eight artists at the Northwind Arts Center in Port Townsend, Washington in April. The gallery’s directors have asked for a show that portrays a broad range of figurative expressions and this group will do that with an interesting “flow” between artist to artist. Styles range from realism to raw; mediums include oils, encaustics, printmaking, bronze and wood; the artists are invited from P.T. and outlying areas, Bainbridge, Bremerton, Poulsbo, and Seattle. With such a diversity, the center is planning to show each of us as a distinct “voice”, all related by the common theme of use of the figure.

Dates and Details:

Show will run from April 6 to April 30.
Reception: Saturday April 7 (5 to 8 pm.)
Coffee Talk: Friday Evening April 13, 7 pm.

I will be showing 5 pieces and at least one very large 8-panel monotype. Hope to see you all there.
